Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION 07-98CCRESOLUTIONNO.7—98WHEREAS,theTownofEstesPark,incooperationwithLarimerCounty,theColoradoDepartmentofTransportation,andtheEstesValleyRecreation&ParkDistrict,hasconstructedasubstantialportionoftheLakeEste5Trail;andWHEREAS,theTownhassubmittedanApplilcationforAvailableFundspursuanttotheIntermodalSurfaceTransportationEfficiencyActof1991(ISTEA)whichisadministeredbytheColoradoDepartmentofTransportation;andWHEREAS,theTownhasreceivedapprovalofsaidApplicationforfundingofPhaseVoftheLakeEstesTrail;andWHEREAS,theTownhaspreviouslybudgetedandappropriatedinits1998Budget,sufficientfundsfortheTown’srequiredfinancialparticipationinthePhaseVProject;andWHEREAS,inorderfortheProjecttocorrunence,itisnecessaryfortheTowntoenterintoacontractwiththeColoradoDepartmentofTransportationfortheProject;andWHEREAS,theBoardofTrusteesoftheTownofEstesParkhasdeterminedthatitisinthebestinterestoftheTowntoapproveandauthorizesaidcontract.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO,asfollows:1.TheBoardofTrusteesoftheTownofEstesParkherebyapprovesandauthorizestheexecutionofthatcertaincontractbyandbetweentheStateofColoradofortheuseandbenefitoftheColoradoDepartmentofTransportationandtheTownofEstesParkfortheLakeEstesTrail,PhaseV.2.TheappropriateofficialsoftheTownofEstesParkareherebyauthorizedtoexecutethecontractasthesamehasbeenpresentedtotheTown.PASSEDANDADOPTEDYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARKONTHE9..DAYOF$c..t,1998.TOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADOByMayorATTEST:
