CaRESOLUTIONSNO.29-02RESOLUTIONOFTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARKSUPPORTINGLARIMERCOUNTYREFERREDISSUEIATOLEVY.03MILLSTORESTORELOCALFUNDSFORPUBLICHEALTHWHEREAS,duetobudgetcutstheLarimerCountyHealthDepartmentwillberequiredtosubstantiallyreducecorepublichealthstaffinglevels;andWHEREAS,certaincriticalpublichealthserviceswillbelostincluding,butnotlimitedto,restaurant,schoolcafeteria,andgrocerystoreinspections,prenatalriskreductionforlowincomewomen,childinjuryprevention,andcontrolofhazardouswasteandleakingundergroundstoragetanks;andWHEREAS,duetothesesamebudgetcuts,publichealthserviceswillbereducedforchildandadultimmunizations,familyplanningserviceforlowincomewomanandhoursinthepublichealthofficesinFt.Collins,Loveland,andspecificallyEstesPark;andWHEREAS,thepassageofLarimerCountyReferredIssue1Awouldapprovealevyof.03millsforaperiodofsevenyearsforthepurposeofdedicatingrevenuesreceivedfromtheimpositionofsaidmilllevyforpublichealth;andWHEREAS,theBoardofTrusteesoftheTownofEstesParksupportsadequatefundingforpublichealth;andWHEREAS,theBoardofTrusteesoftheTownofEstesParkwishestoexpressitssupportforLarimerCountyReferredIssue1AandurgethevotersoftheTownofEstesParktosupportpublichealthbyvotingyesonLarimerCountyReferredIssue1A.NOWTHEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARKthattheTownofEstesPark,throughtheBoardofTrustees,herebyissuesitssupportforthepassageofLarimerCountyReferredIssueIAandurgesthevotersoftheTownofEstesParkandtheEstesValleytovoteyesonLarimerCountyReferredIssue1AtoprovidecriticalpublichealthservicestotheEstesValley.AdoptedthistYayoflVttcte4),2002.TOWNOFESTESPARKcz4,eadgfayorATTEST:TownClerk 004
