AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
ESTES VALLEY DEVELOPMENT CODE,
SECTION 13.3.1 26 “IMPERVIOUS SURFACES”
AND SECTION 13.3.1 37 “LOT COVERAGE”

WHEREAS,the Estes Valley Planning Commission has recommended
Estes Valley Development Code,Section 13.3.126 “Impervious Surfaces”and
Coverage”;and
an amendment to the
Section 13.3.137 “Lot
WHEREAS,said amendments to the Estes Valley Development Code are set forth on Exhibit
“A”attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference;and
WHEREAS,the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park has determined that it is in the
best interest of the Town that the amendments to the Estes Valley Development Code Section
13.3.126 “Impervious Surfaces”and Section 13.3.137 “Lot Coverage”set forth on Exhibit “A:Lot
Coverage”and recommended for approval by the Estes Valley Planning Commission be approved.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN
OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1:The Estes Valley Development Code shall be amended as more fully set forth
on Exhibit “A:Lot Coverage”.
Section 2:
adoption and publication.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be enforced thirty (30)days after its
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
PARK,COLORADO,THIS ,35’DAY OF p.,asj ,2011.

126.Impervious Surfaces
4mpeious—Su#aees shall moan those portions of a lot that arc covered—by
prinoipal-and--aeoessG--buildings or structures,and by su4aoes-That-pcevent4he
passageoc-abserption of ctormwater,such as paving and driveways.
a.Impervious Surfaces shall mean those portions of a lot that are covered by
development that prevents or impedes the passage or absorption of
stormwater.
b.This includes but is not limited to:principal and accessory buildings or
structures,sidewalks,streets and driveways,and parking areas.
c.Porous pavement and graveled areas are included in this definition.
137.Lot Coverage
Let—Goverage--sa1l mean that portion of a lot that is covered by principal and
accesso’—buil4ings or structures,and by surfaces that prevent the passage or
absocption-of-stormwatcr such as paving and driveways.
a.Lot coverage shall mean those portions of a lot that are covered by
development that prevents or impedes the passage or absorption of
stormwater.
b.This includes but is not limited to:principal and accessory buildings or
structures,sidewalks,streets and driveways,and parking areas.
c.Porous pavement and graveled areas are included in this definition.
