HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 25-73ORDINANCE NO.25-73 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1974,TO DEFRAY THE COSTS OF MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1,1974,AND ENDING DECEMBER 31,1974. WHEREAS,the Board of Trustees of Estes Park has adopted a budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1,1974,and ending December 31, 1974; AND WHEREAS,the Board of Trustees has determined that the proper mill levy upon each dollar of assessed valuation of all taxable property within the Town is four and ninety four one hundredths (4.94)mills. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: Section 1.That for the purposes of defraying the expenses of the General Fund of Estes Park,Colorado,during the fiscal year beginning on January 1,1974,and ending on December 31,1974,there is hereby levied a tax of four and ninety four one hundredths (4.94)mills upon each dollar of the total assessed valuation of all taxable property within the Town of Estes Park for the year 1974. Section 2.That the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to immediately certify to the County Commissioners of Larimer County, Colorado,the total tax levy for the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,as is herein set forth. Section 3.The Board of Trustees herewith finds,determines and designates that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preserva tion of the public peace,health and safety,and whereas an emergency exists,this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days after its final passage,adoption and publication. Passed and adopted this 8th day of October 1973.
